Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
For the Financial Year Beginning 1st April 2025
POP Marketing CIC
Issued in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
Introduction
POP Marketing CIC is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity. While we are a small social enterprise and not legally required to publish a modern slavery statement, we believe it is our responsibility to actively prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in any part of our business and supply chains.
This statement outlines the steps we have taken — and continue to take — to identify and mitigate modern slavery risks across our operations.
Our Organisation
POP Marketing CIC is a Community Interest Company based in the UK. We specialise in digital marketing, creative media, and training services, with a strong focus on supporting young people, social enterprises, and organisations aligned with sustainable development and community impact.
As a values-led organisation, we embed fairness, transparency, and social justice into our operations.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains are relatively short and primarily involve UK-based suppliers of digital services, hardware, cloud software, freelance contractors, and office operations. While the risk of modern slavery is considered low, we remain vigilant, particularly when working with third-party suppliers or freelance platforms.
Policies and Due Diligence
We have the following policies and procedures in place:
– Code of Conduct – Outlines our expectations for staff and suppliers, including commitments to ethical practices and human rights.
– Supplier Vetting – We conduct checks on new suppliers and contractors to ensure they operate within ethical frameworks.
– Safeguarding and Whistleblowing – We encourage staff and partners to raise concerns confidentially if they suspect any unethical or exploitative practices.
– Fair Recruitment – All employment practices are reviewed regularly to ensure compliance with UK labour laws and best practices.
Training and Awareness
All POP Marketing CIC staff receive training on safeguarding and ethical conduct as part of their induction. We are working to include modern slavery awareness in our staff training programme to help identify risks and act appropriately.
Monitoring and Review
Although the nature of our business presents a low risk of modern slavery, we are committed to continuous improvement. We will review this statement and our procedures annually or as our business activities expand, ensuring they remain effective and up to date.
